Variable Area Flow Meters are similar to Metal Tube Rotameters. It consists of a 'float' constructed of PTFE or stainless steel attached to a tapered steel tube. Over the annular area, there is a constant disparity in pressure. The float travels up and down in relation to the fluid flow through the tapered tube. The instantaneous flow rate is measured by the float's vertical position as represented by the scale.
1. Permanent magnetic connection between motion position transmitter and measuring float.2. Precision-swaged measuring tube.3. Easy removal of guide cartridges for cleaning.4. Available in various flange sizes and flow rates.
1. 15 NB to 150 NB Meter.2. Coating: Metallic (SS-316L, SS-316, PTFE).3. Scale: Stainless steel, aluminum, white acrylic.4. Indicator housing: Cast aluminum or ABS plastic.5. Accuracy: ±2%, repeatability rate: 0.5%.
Rotameters are devices used to measure the flow rate of liquids or gases using variable area flow measurement. Metal tube rotameters are commonly used, with various types including standard, multi-tube, glass/metal combination, Coriolis, high-pressure, in-line, and digital. Standard rotameters use a tapered or conical metal tube inserted into a flow stream, while multi-tube rotameters consist of multiple parallel metal tubes calibrated for specific flow rate ranges. Glass/metal combination rotameters combine a metal tube with a glass tube for visual observation. High-pressure rotameters are designed for high-pressure conditions, while in-line rotameters are designed for easy integration into existing piping systems. Digital rotameters incorporate digital displays and sensors for accurate readings.
